Okimaw Workshop Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the purchase, registration, participation in, and use of services, programs, workshops, events, memberships (if applicable), and materials provided by Okimaw Community & HR Solutions Inc. (“Okimaw,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By registering for, purchasing, or participating in any Okimaw service or event, you (“Participant,” “Client,” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Scope of Services

Okimaw provides professional services including, but not limited to:

  • Training workshops and learning events
  • Conferences and summits
  • Advisory, consulting, and facilitation services
  • Membership-based offerings (if applicable)
  • Digital and physical materials related to programming

All services are delivered subject to availability and may be modified at Okimaw’s discretion.

  1. Registration and Payment
  • Full payment is required at the time of registration unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
  • Registrations are not confirmed until payment has been received.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect confirmed registrations.
  1. No Refund Policy / Credits Only

All sales are final.

  • No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:
    • Non-attendance
    • Schedule conflicts
    • Travel issues
    • Illness
    • Force majeure events
  • Okimaw may, at its sole discretion, offer a credit for future Okimaw events or services if:
    • A written request is submitted prior to the event start date; and
    • The credit is approved by Okimaw in writing.

Credits:

  • Are non-transferable
  • Have no cash value
  • Must be used within 12 months of issuance unless otherwise stated
  1. Event Changes and Cancellations by Okimaw

Okimaw reserves the right to:

  • Modify event content, speakers, facilitators, format, dates, or locations
  • Deliver events virtually or in hybrid format
  • Cancel or reschedule events when necessary

If Okimaw cancels an event, participants will be offered:

  • A credit for a future event or
  • Access to an alternative comparable offering

No additional compensation, damages, or reimbursements will be provided.

  1. Substitutions and Transfers
  • Participant substitutions may be permitted with prior written notice and approval.
  • Transfers are not guaranteed and may be subject to administrative requirements.
  1. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Okimaw, including presentations, documents, frameworks, recordings, and digital content, are:

  • The intellectual property of Okimaw or its licensors
  • Provided for personal or organizational use only

 

Participants may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, record, sell, or modify materials
  • Share content publicly or commercially without written consent
  1. Conduct and Participation

Okimaw is committed to respectful, professional, and safe learning environments.

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove any participant whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, discriminatory, or disrespectful
  • Deny access without refund or credit if conduct standards are violated
  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Okimaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
  • Participation is at the participant’s own risk
  • Okimaw’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable service or event
  1. No Guarantees

Okimaw does not guarantee:

  • Specific outcomes
  • Financial, organizational, governance, or performance results

All services are advisory and educational in nature.

  1. Privacy and Confidentiality

Okimaw respects privacy and confidentiality.

  • Participant information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws
  • Recording or sharing sessions without consent is strictly prohibited
  1. Force Majeure

Okimaw shall not be held liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, government actions, or travel disruptions.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Canada, and where applicable, the laws of the Province of Manitoba, without regard to conflict of law principles.

  1. Amendments

Okimaw reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted or provided prior to future registrations.

  1. Acceptance

By registering for or participating in any Okimaw service or event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
