Okimaw Human Resource (HR) Training Institute

Okimaw HR Training Institute provides human resource training in an introductory, advanced or refresher format. Our training is delivered in person or online; from one day to one week in duration. We also have the internal capacity to deliver in-agency training sessions.

Our 5-day introduction to human resource management training is designed to aid new HR professionals, department managers, and leaders to understand how the HR department maintains employees in the workplace while strengthening business operations. Human Resources is important to any organization particularly when it involves strategic planning and company image. Human Resources is an essential component to any business as HR helps to sustain operations by keeping everyone in check.

HR Programs

The introductory training program aims to help participants understand the HR role as it pertains to recruitment and onboarding of new employees, file management, yearly audits, employee compensation, performance reviews, and how company policies are used to reinforce the business culture in an organization.

The advanced training program aims to help participants understand how to use practical HR tools and forms to organize and maintain employee information, employee vs management contracts, time sheets/schedules, regular pay vs statutory pay, vacation and request for leaves, federal and provincial labour laws, and how to conduct a workplace investigation.

Okimaw’s HR professionals are highly engaged facilitators, use traditional and contemporary HR practices, and have well rounded expertise in their field. They are passionate about helping others to succeed and use the “hands on” approach in the classroom to enhance the
participant’s learning experience.
